Alcohol-Free Coquito Coffee: Holiday Spice with Coffee Still Present
A coffee-and-coconut drink inspired by coquito, measured so spice never dominates.

Coquito changes from one family to another. This recipe does not replace a family formula; it creates a coffee drink inspired by coconut, cinnamon and vanilla, without raw egg or alcohol, suitable for a table shared by different ages.
Recipe at a glance
Yield: Two small cups
Time: 12 minutes
Best coffee: Concentrated medium-dark roast
Ingredients
- 120 ml concentrated coffee
- 120 ml milk
- 60 ml coconut milk
- 20 g sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- One drop vanilla and a pinch of nutmeg
Method
- Whisk milk, coconut, condensed milk and spices in a small pan.
- Heat gently for three minutes without boiling.
- Divide coffee between two cups.
- Add the hot mixture, taste and finish with a minimal dusting of cinnamon.
Why this ratio works
Coffee remains one-third of the drink, enough to support coconut and spice. Condensed milk adds structure and should remain measured.
Adjust it without losing the coffee
Chill for an iced version or reduce condensed milk when coffee already tastes sweet. Adults may add rum to individual cups after serving, never to the shared base.
Troubleshooting
Gritty spice indicates too much or insufficient mixing. Strain before serving for a completely smooth texture.
Serve and store safely
Keep the shared base alcohol-free, disclose coconut and dairy allergens and refrigerate leftovers immediately.
